We are pleased to announce that the Humanitarian Energy Conference (HEC) 2024 will be held at the Mövenpick Hotel & Residences in Nairobi, Kenya on 7 October 2024.
In-person registration is now closed, you can still register to join us online and stay engaged with the event.
The conference aims to drive forward the humanitarian energy agenda by convening a diverse range of stakeholders to foster collective action, catalyse political commitments, forge partnerships, and mobilise resources. As a sector-wide event for the humanitarian energy community, the HEC provides a platform for critical and informative discussions, assessing the progress towards achieving SDG 7 for displaced populations and host communities.
The conference will inform and inspire development and humanitarian practitioners, national governments, donors, and private sector companies with broader trends in the energy access sector while prioritising the voices and needs of displaced and host communities. It offers deep-dive learning sessions on electricity access and clean cooking solutions in displacement settings, alongside facilitated discussions on finance, technical capacity building, and inclusive policies with international partners and host governments.
The agenda for HEC 2024 will feature a diverse range of sessions covering technical topics such as decarbonisation, clean cooking, sustainable operations and maintenance, energy in emergencies, and urban displacement. There will also be cross-cutting sessions on public-private partnerships, community-led energy initiatives and inclusion, innovative finance, and climate adaptation.
We hope you will be able to join us, please stay tuned for more updates!
