Over 300 million people rely on humanitarian aid, with 120 million displaced by conflict and crisis. Access to affordable energy is essential for their health, safety, and livelihoods, yet many remain excluded from public energy services. Subsidies have proven vital in closing affordability gaps and driving progress toward SDG 7.

Hosted by GOGLA, the webinar will share learnings from our forthcoming report on the topic prepared by the GPA in collaboration with the End-User Subsidy Lab. It will also feature presentations from UECCC and EnDev on their experiences designing and implementing subsidy programmes in Uganda and Mozambique, which include displaced communities and leverage subsidies to encourage private sector participation in disaster response.

Date & Time: Thursday, 11 December, 15:00-16:30 CET
